New Holographic Camera

Researchers at Northwestern University have invented a new high-resolution Camera. This Camera can see the Unseen as they have mentioned. The Camera can see around the corners and through scattering media like Skin, Fog or even Human Skull. Interesting isn’t it?

A new method called Synthetic Wavelength Holography works by indirectly scattering Coherent Light onto hidden objects. This light then scatters again and travels back to a Camera. An Algorithm reconstructs the scattered light signals to reveal the hidden objects. According to the researchers, this method also has a potential to image fast-moving objects like speeding cars around a street corner or beating heart through the chest.
