Pancha Sabhai / Pancha Kshetra

Pancha Sabahi means “Five Halls” and Pancha Kshetra means “Five Temples”. Why are they important?. These are five sacred Shiva temples where Lord Shiva is said to have performed his cosmic dance.

Demons Shumbha and Nishumbha started harassing Devas and Humans. They pleaded to mother Parvathi for protection. Lord Shiva told Parvathi that it is high time that they be killed and peace brought back. Accordingly Devi Parvathy took a fierce form (Avtar) known as Kaali and after fighting with the demons and their army, she killed them.

Watch the video below for details of Pancha Sabhai Sthala or Pancha Kshetra.
