Rice Cutlet

Yummy snack for the evening tea.

Hi, I am sharing today a very easy to make and yummy Rice Cutlet with you. Try this out.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh/Left over Rice (cooked): 1 cup (mashed)
  • Potato: 1 No. (boiled) or Poha/Aval: 1 Cup
  • Green Chilli: 2 Nos (finely chopped)
  • Ginger: 1 small piece (1 inch) grated
  • Jeera/Dhania Powder: 1 Teaspoon
  • Grated Carrot: 1 Cup
  • Coriander Leaves: Fresh, chopped
  • Mint Leaves: 5/6 (chopped)
  • Rice Flour: As required (if the dough becomes sticky and also for crunchiness)
  • Salt: As per taste
  • Red Chilli Powder: 1 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder: 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Lemon Juice: 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Oil (Coconut/Sun Flower): For shallow fry
  • Garam Masala: Can be added for taste (not required)

Preparation:

Grate or mash the potato. If Poha is used, wash and keep these aside for 15 minutes. Mix all ingredients together, add a little oil to make soft round flat patty (or any shape of your choice). Shallow fry on medium heat (both sides) till golden brown. Serve with tomato ketchup or any chutney/sauce of your choice.
