Yoga for Cervical Spondylosis

Yoga for Cervical Spondylosis

Cervical Spondylosis is mainly associated with posture and can be too painful. I don’t need to tell you about the Neck and Shoulder Pain, if you are one who is mainly doing desk job. By regularly doing Yoga, you can bring your pain under control. There are few Asanas (postures) prescribed by Yoga Therapists for Cervical Spondylosis.

  • Matsyasana – Fish Pose
  • Bhujangasana – Cobra Pose
  • Makarasana – Crocodile Pose
  • Tadasana
  • Ushtrasana – Camel Pose
  • Katichakrasana
  • Uttan Mandukasana

Important Note

Pain for every individual can be due to different reasons, though the symptoms may look similar. So, before starting with doing any of these asanas or even staring with a medication, you must first consult with an expert and get his/her opinion. Otherwise things can go wrong and you may land up in problems.

Never start doing Yoga yourselves, just by watching some videos or looking at some printed texts and pictures. Yoga especially, has to be learned from a Yoga Master who knows in and out of it – not just from so called Yoga Teachers. It must also be practiced with the guidance of the Yoga Master for he/she will be able to correct the mistakes that you may be doing. The pattern of Breathing in and out is very important along with Yoga Asanas.
