UNESCO has listed the Bidaa Bint Saud, Hili Sites, Hafeet Tombs and Al Ain Oasis under the World Heritage sites.
Bidaa Bint Saud
Bidaa Bint Saud is located 25kms north of Al Ain. It contains various archaeological findings as follows.
- 5000 year old Burial Tombs
- Iron Age Irrigation Systems (1300BCE – 300BCE)
- A rare Iron Age Building
- Other artefacts showing details of an important Caravan Route extending from Al Ain to the North of the UAE

Hili Sites
The Hili Archaeological Site provides an earliest known evidence of an Agricultural Village in the UAE. It also contains Bronze Age (3000BCE-1300BCE) and Iron Age (1300BCE-300BCE) Villages, Burial Grounds and Agricultural Infrastructure. You can find the following at the Hili Sites.
- Grand Tomb at Hili – which is more than 4000 years old structure
- Hili Site 1 – containing an old tower built from mud brick
- Falaj Irrigation System – using ground level and underground water canals bringing water from nearby mountains
- Several Iron Age Villages

Hafeet Tombs
The Jebel Hafeet Tombs are on the northern and eastern slopes of the steep 1160 meters Jebel Hafeet Mountain. There are other Tombs found along the crests of prominent hills and ridges leading northward from Jebel Hafeet towards Al Ain City.

Al Ain Oasis
The Al Ain Oasis is located in the middle of Al Ain City. Over 147,000 Date Palms of 100 different varieties are planted here. Other fodder crops like Mango, Orange, Banana, Fig and Jujube are farmed here. The UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization has recognized all of Al Ain’s Oases. These are important repository of Generic Resource and showcase the Biodiversity and Cultural Heritage.
