I read an article in the Gulf News Daily dated 6th April 2022 about how Global Warming Threatens Our Survival. It is really alarming and needs all concerned, even the ordinary citizens to act upon responsibly and quickly to find a way to counter this catastrophe.
The United Nations (UN) has sounded a red alert on the Climate Change in its 10,000 pages IPCC Report. This report emphasises the danger of “tipping points” as never before. The article says 3.2 degree Celsius estimated rise in Global Temperature based on the current national politics. It also says about 2 meters of estimated rise in ocean levels by 2030, double the 2019 forecast.
Three reports by UN on Climate Change, published in August 2021, February 2022 and last Monday spread across 10,000 pages. These three reports focus on Physical Science, Impacts and Needs to adapt and how to Slash the Carbon Pollution. The accelerating Global Warming is driving towards profound impacts on Human Misery and Ecological Disaster. There is only one way to avoid the catastrophe, which is to drastically reduce the Greenhous Gas Emissions.
