Pran Prathishta at Sri Ram Mandir – Ayodhya

The much-awaited Pran Prathishta (consecration of the Ram Lalla statue) in the new Sri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya is happening today by around 12:20pm Indian Standard Time. India’s Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi is the “Mukhya Yajamanan” on this special occasion. The Tantrik Ceremony will start by 11:30am in the morning and the consecration will be around 12:20pm.

The pre-consecration rituals completed yesterday under Lakshmikanth Purohit from Kashi. Water from 114 holy rivers in India was used for the ceremony. The idol is carved out by Sri Arun Yogiraj from Mysore in Krishna Shila (Black Stone) which is 51-inch height and 3 ft wide. It is an idol of a 5-year-old boy. The idols used previously in the temporary temple are also kept along with the new one.

Many VIPs from India and abroad are invited for the ceremony today along with saints and public figures from India. Entry for the public will start only from tomorrow. Around 8000 invited guests will attend the ceremony today. The temple complex is around 70 acres land where the Sri Rama temple occupies 2.77 acres. The Bhumi Puja was done in 5th August 2020 for the new temple, the first phase of which is completed in 3 years. It is estimated that approximately 1 lakh devotees can visit the temple daily and 1500 can be at one time. The temple will be one of its kind in the world with many more features.
